Meet Spencer Anfosso, Director of Business Development & Client Delivery

May 1, 2026

Spencer’s strong aptitude for math and natural curiosity led him to pursue accounting. What’s kept him in the profession is an appreciation for accounting as the language of business. With a background in both tax and audit at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Spencer brings public accounting and renewable energy industry experience to TGRP Solutions. Here, he partners with clients to understand their needs and align them with the right consulting talent. He’s also a hands-on resource when needed, stepping into engagements in an interim capacity or bridging gaps until a long-term consulting or permanent solution is in place. Get to know TGRP’s resident Swiss Army knife.

Where are you originally from?

McKinney, Texas

What’s your pre-TGRP professional background?

The summer between graduating from the University of Arkansas and starting my master’s program at the University of Houston, I interned with PwC in Houston. I started my career at PwC in the global mobility services group, preparing tax returns for expatriates, before moving into private company services. My last year at PwC, I was on the audit side. Then I spent four years at Scout Clean Energy before TGRP.

What led you to Colorado?

My wife is from Houston, and we met in a partnership tax class in graduate school! At some point, we started talking about moving somewhere different, and we pulled out a map and zeroed in on Denver. We both requested transfers from our companies. I wanted to broaden my experience beyond individual taxes, so I joined PwC’s private company services group in Denver.

What was your experience in renewable energy like?

I had oil and gas and manufacturing clients at PwC, so renewable energy was new to me. But PwC gave me a thirst for knowledge, and I embraced it. I’m a constant process improver, so I moved from senior accountant to accounting manager to assistant controller during my time there. The company was on a growth trajectory, and we went from 60 to 200 people and from four to 15 in accounting. I grew a lot professionally and gained solid experience to build upon at TGRP.

What drew you to TGRP Solutions?

I left Scout in February 2025 and took a few months to be with my family and think through my next steps. I was interested in exploring sales when I met with Doug Nassif, director of the Placement and Contract Solutions group at TGRP. We initially talked about me joining the consulting team, but when I later spoke with Mark [Reister] and he learned about my interests, he shaped what became my current role: a blend of business development and client delivery. I build client relationships and step into engagements as needed. Having been in clients’ shoes, I understand the challenges they face and apply that perspective.

Since joining TGRP in summer 2025, what have you enjoyed most?

The authenticity of the people here stands out. There’s a genuine sense that everyone cares about each other. I also like helping clients that are stretched thin get the support they need. It’s rewarding to see the impact when one of our consultants supports a team and employees can regain some work-life balance.

When you’re not at work, what do you love to do?

Spend time with my family. Play 18 holes of golf. Be outside—that’s why I moved to Colorado!

Any hidden talents?

I’m a good cook. I like turning meals into a production and elevating food to four-star restaurant quality.

What’s your favorite type of food?

Cajun food gives me all the feels. Arkansas and Texas both have great Cajun, and I haven’t found enough of it in Denver.

What always makes your day better?

My kids running to hug me when I get home. It’s a small thing but also the biggest thing.

Coffee or tea?

Coffee – black.

Something you’d like to learn?

I would love to become a strong swimmer, and I’d love to master juggling.

What’s at the top of the bucket list?

Travel is up there. With the move to Colorado and raising two young kids, travel is on hold for now, but one day my wife and I will get back to that.

Best trip you’ve ever taken?

I studied abroad in England for a semester in college and at the end, I bought a train pass and traveled to nine countries and 13 cities in 26 days.

Words to live by?

“Our world is what we make it.” To me, this means we collectively have the power to dictate our circumstances and constantly improve.
