What is summer in Colorado without live music? From free weekly concerts in neighborhood parks and main streets to bigger community festivals, listening to local talent outside is the perfect way to spend a summer evening.

Here are a few music events across the Denver metro area worth exploring:

City Park Jazz – Sundays through August 9, 6:00-8:00pm | City Park, Denver

2026 is the 40th anniversary of City Park Jazz. This Denver tradition showcases jazz, blues, and homegrown talent from Colorado. Spread out a blanket, unpack a charcuterie board, and settle in for one of the city’s favorite Sunday summer rituals.

Littleton Summer Concert Series – Wednesdays through July 22, 6:30-8:00pm | Littleton Museum Lawn

This family-friendly evening features a range of musical genres, from acoustic folk to pop to bluegrass. Claim a spot on the lawn and let the little ones cut loose on their very own kids’ dance zone.

Performances in the Park – Wednesdays through July 29, 6:30-8:00pm | Anderson Park, Wheat Ridge

Before the music begins, take a stroll along the creek or past Anderson Park’s Sweet Grass Dance art installation, then relax for an evening of live entertainment. With food trucks at every performance, you can enjoy dinner, dessert, and music all in one.

Levitt Pavilion Concert Series – Various dates and times through October 1 | Ruby Hill Park, Denver

There’s not a bad seat at Levitt Pavilion, a hillside setting with mountain views and room for 6,500 people. The lineup features local, regional, national, and international acts across a wide spectrum of styles: country, rock, R&B, Latin, blues, reggae, jazz, and more. Pack a picnic or sample bites from one of the onsite food vendors.

Concerts in Clement Park – Thursdays through August 1, 7:00pm | Clement Park, Littleton

South Jefferson County residents and music lovers from across the city are welcome at this weekly showcase in Littleton. Performances take place at the Grant Family Amphitheater, with music ranging from funk jazz to a Disney cover band to original music. Tunes, twilight, and a foothills backdrop make for the perfect summer soundtrack.

Concerts at the Crescent – Tuesdays through August 4, 6:00-8:00pm | Crescent Amphitheater, Greenwood Village

Just off DTC Boulevard and Belleview Avenue, Crescent Park is home to the annual tradition, Concerts at the Crescent—which celebrates its 30th year in 2026. Each week features a different band paired with a local food truck. It’s a fun midweek meetup for Tech Center employees and nearby residents.

Greenwood Village Mobile Concerts – Thursdays through June 25, 6:00pm | Location varies (Greenwood Village)

Two more dates remain in this concert series. Each Thursday, community members gather at one of the city’s neighborhood parks for live music and a complimentary scoop of ice cream. Follow the music and enjoy a sweet treat.

Discovery Park Summer Concert Series – Thursdays through July 23, 6:30-8:00pm | Discovery Park, Parker

The town of Parker’s seasonal lineup takes the stage at an impressive outdoor amphitheater, welcoming a diverse mix of artists—from the Colorado Army Band of the Colorado National Guard to the 1970s tribute band, Boogie Machine. The park also has outdoor art and an interactive water feature the kids will love.

Sounds of Southlands– Thursdays through August 13, 6:00-8:00pm | Southlands Shopping Center, Aurora

Southeast Aurora’s open-air shopping hub turns its Town Square into a lively stage. With restaurants and an ice cream shop surrounding the square, you can grab a patio table or opt for takeout and set up chairs in the plaza.

Highlands Ranch Summer Concert Series – Thursdays through July 31, 6:30-8:00pm | Highland Heritage Regional Park, Highlands Ranch

Catch different local bands and try a new food truck each week at this Highlands Ranch summer highlight. The park’s amphitheater has an 8,000-square-foot stage, a sprawling lawn, and a picturesque setting made for unwinding.

Dancing in the Streets – Wednesdays through July 31, 6:30-8:00pm | The Streets at Southglenn, Centennial

At Commons Park at the Streets of Southglenn, catch some of Colorado’s favorite performers and tribute bands, covering icons like The Eagles and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Stop over after a bit of retail therapy or on the way to (or from) dinner at Southglenn. Or better yet, get your favorite takeout and make it a dinner-and-show kind of night.

There’s a stage waiting somewhere in the Denver metro area almost every night of summer. Spend time with family and friends outside, support local communities, and discover great music. Lawn chairs ready, blankets down, summer mode activated—have fun out there, and we hope to see you this summer!
