When farmers markets season begins, you know summer is just around the corner! There’s so much to love about these open-air markets: the selection of fresh produce and local foods…the unique, handcrafted products…the sense of community…and so much more.

If you love eating seasonally and healthy and supporting local farmers, makers, growers, and small businesses, explore one of these Denver-area farmers markets this season:

City Park Farmers Market | Saturdays, 8:00am-1:00pm, May-September | City Park Esplanade

The City Park Farmers Market is one of the biggest around and can easily be your go-to spot for weekly groceries. With 100+ food-focused Colorado vendors, you can stock up on fruits, veggies, meat, bread, dairy products, specialty foods, and snacks. There are food tents and rotating food trucks if you want to grab breakfast or lunch on the go.

Cherry Creek Fresh Market | Saturdays, 9:00am-2:00pm, Through October 11 | East side of the Cherry Creek Shopping Center

This award-winning farmers market is huge, vibrant, and beloved! Shop fresh dairy, farm eggs, fresh fruit and vegetables, jams, honeys, jellies, house plants, local spirits, locally raised meats, breads and pastries, coffee, and more. You’ll also love the street food stands and food trucks, pop-up boutiques, fashion trucks, and live music.

South Pearl Street Farmers Market | Sundays, 9:00am-1:00pm, Through November 9 | S. Pearl between E. Iowa and E. Arkansas

This farmers market focuses on food and food-related items, while also inviting the historic Pearl Street’s brick-and-mortar stores to set up booths and sell their goods. Enjoy live music each week too.

Highlands Square Farmers Market | Sundays, 9:00am-1:00pm, Through October 12 | 32nd Ave. between Julian and Mead

Stroll, eat, shop, and dance at the Highlands Square Farmers Market. Come hungry, as there are a wide variety of prepared foods to sample—plus food trucks, live music, and vendors selling everything from coffee to gourmet foods, from soap to fresh-cut flowers.

Parker Farmers Market | Sundays, 8:00am-1:00pm, Until Halloween | Mainstreet Parker

The town of Parker welcomes all kinds of vendors to its farmers market, from clothing boutiques to food retailers. Shop for locally grown produce, dairy products, grass-fed meats, fresh bread, pastries, and gourmet food products—and grab some ready-to-eat breakfast or lunch while you’re there.

Highlands Ranch Farmers Market | Sundays, 10:00am-2:00pm, Through October 26 | Highlands Ranch Town Center

Shop seasonal produce and locally made goods, meet Colorado farmers, taste delicious prepared foods, and connect with others in the Highlands Ranch community at this smaller farmers market.

Aspen Grove Farmers’ Market | Fridays, 10:00am-2:00pm, June 6-September 26 | Aspen Grove Shopping Center

Littleton residents will be happy to discover a neighborhood farmers market right at Aspen Grove. Discover food and products from small and family-owned farms, a dairy company, a beef rancher, a peach orchard, bakeries, specialty food companies, coffee roasters, and others, plus handmade and household items from a range of vendors.

Lakewood Farmers Market | Tuesdays, 2:00pm-7:00pm, June 3-August 26 | Fort Steilacoom Park

One of the few evening markets around the Denver metro area, the Lakewood Farmers Market is in the picturesque Fort Steilacoom Park, the largest park in Lakewood. It features a variety of vendors and food trucks as well as live music and lawn games.

Louisville Farmers Market | Saturdays, 9:00am-1:00pm, Until October 11 | Front Street

The Louisville Farmers Market features food and products from Colorado farmers, growers, orchards, and other businesses. Buy prepared food, fruits and vegetables, flowers, eggs, fresh baked goods, jams, honey, jewelry, and more. Live music sets the tone, with performances starting at 9am and 11am.

Erie Farmers Market | Thursdays, 5:00pm-8:00pm, Until September 18 | Briggs Street

The Erie Farmers Market lineup includes a variety of vendors: farms, orchards, nurseries, organic beauty products, wellness products, jewelry, art, clothing, bakery items, cheese, prepared goods, and many others.

Evergreen Farmers Market | Tuesdays, 10:00am-2:00pm, Through October 7 | 28253 Meadow Drive

The Evergreen Farmers Market is a cherished tradition started by two Evergreen locals/Colorado natives. You’ll find booths with produce grown locally, prepared foods, fresh squeezed lemonade, breads, clothing, artisanal goods, and handmade products, to name a few.
