Virginia Engberg

Virginia is an oddity today—she hasn’t lived more than 60 miles from her birthplace in Denver, Colorado.  After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in English from CU – Boulder and with no desire to change locales, she started her accounting career as a site secretary in a trailer doing construction draws.  Later she was brought in house to do accounts payable.   After a few years doing AP and realizing that she liked accounting, she went back to school and completed her master’s degree in Accounting at the CU – Denver campus.  From there, she worked in progressive accounting and analysis roles performing a variety of detailed, financial tasks.  She also has experience in many different industries: from construction, health, distribution, insurance, food production and oil and gas.  If you’re looking for someone who can wear many hats, Virginia is a good choice.

On her own time Virginia enjoys gardening, hiking, crocheting, and trying to maintain order on her mini ranch in the foothills outside of Denver.
